Finally...

Finally I've been "FORCED" to start a blog...

Many people have asked why I still have not gotten on the blogging bandwagon. There are many answers to that question, but mostly, I did not want to start a blog and randomly ramble on random things. I wanted to write something worth writing (and reading). However I did not consider myself deep enough to have anything to offer to the vast world of internet. Now, however, I have come to a point where my arm is kind of forced.

I am now taking a course in BCM called "God, Revelation, Man". Theology students would know this course as Systematic Theology 1. As in any course there are course requirements that one must complete. This time there was a twist. Our dear theology lecturer Rev. Lim Yeu Chuen, has given us an option of writing a 15-page paper, OR, writing a 6-page paper plus maintaining a blog. In this blog he will provide us with some questions in which we are supposed to interact with our readers. So here I am rambling away, however, I take comfort in the fact that my rambling is (hopefully) not TOO random.

I hope you will be able to respond to my posts in a meaningful way that will challenge both you (my readers) as well as me (the blogger... finally).

You are pathetic, you do not because you believe in what you do. You blog because you are forced to blog. Why then do you believe in what you believe? Are you forced to believe in your God too?

I am a Christian too, it is sad to see another Christian having such a pathetic attitude. If you blog just to ramble you are wasting my time and others time. You might as well terminate your blog.

You are so reluctant to share you faith why od it. Just for your grade?

I said the same things to all your classmates: It is good to have questions but it is better if you attempt some answers. I will be more keen to dialogue when I see some answers.

to anonymous,

I am also quite disappointed at how you Christians bash one another just because the other has a lousy attitude. I thought your religion teaches you not to condemn others and rather forgive them and guide them along the right paths? So what if he is a student of the religion? Aren't we all students of our religion in our own right?

I also thought you are not to judge one another because your God is the ultimate judge? Could it be that you misinterpreted the blogger's writing style and arse humour?

There are still people here who would like to discuss the issues brought up. But i think it will also waste our time if you post pointless character bashing for the sake of making your stand sound so righteous and holier-than-thou attitude. Please, if you would still want to comment on the issues, please do so with the least respect for the other readers and the blogger as well.

What say you,

Forgiveness is one thing, being accountable is another. It is not bashing. The bible did tell us to correct one another.

It is not a "holier that thou" attitude that is the problem. It is responsible attitudes. Does it me that Christians cannot correct one another. The if a person choose to do wrong we concede to his wrong?

You say well that we need to guide the person to the right path. Truth hurts no matter how it is said. My point here is not to get entangled in making judgment calls. I am asking the for responsible attitudes.

Let get back to the crucial issue is that we need to give a reason for our faith.

anonymous,

Thank you for that comment. At least your intentions now are clearer. I respect that.

Now, with the issue at hand, what is your opinion on the existence of God?

You need to get to answering the questions that has been raised for the initial start of the blog. It is in reading your views that other bloggers can discuss appropriately.
